I don't know if anyone saw this today, Sunday 6/10/07 at 1pm Eastern time, but the TreasureHD channel (on Dish Network) it is channel 9473, they featured the one hour show about bourbon history, bourbon making and it is WELL WORTH WATCHING! It was very well produced and filmed, and was in high definition. They came down from New York to shoot this here in Kentucky. A must see if you are a bourbon enthusiast. It will be aired a few more times this month on the same channel. I am making a DVD copy or two of it.

Is this channel a HD only channel? I don't have HD yet but didn't see that particular channel number in my lineup.

This is channel 9473 on Dish Network. It might be on your local cable or Direct TV, I don't know. But it's called the "TreasureHD" channel.

By the way, it's a show that was filmed in HD, but even if you don't have an HDTV, you can still watch it.

I watched this show the other night thanks to Gayle making a copy for me. Thanks Gayle!

I would say that they do a very good job promoting bourbon. The material discussing the product at the distilleries and at the Bourbon's Bistro are quite informative and well done. The history was not so good. They spread the Elijah Craig myth heavily and I still don't know where Buffalo Trace gets saying they were the only Kentucky Distillery operating in prohibition. I guess they forgot about A Ph Stitzel, Glenmore and Old Grand Dad. One the whole, I did find it a worthwile film.

Actually, they only talked about Elijah Craig for five minutes!
