whisky vocabulary

Unread postby frankjay02 » Fri Jul 25, 2014 2:50 pm

hello all,
Can anyone direct me to any place either here or on the web where I can find some information
on the vocabulary used to describe whiskeys? I sort of figured out what 'finish' means I think,
but I have read some adjectives that are really beyond my comprehension. Or should I just wing it?
thanks

Finish just means aftertaste.

There is no generally accepted vocabulary. Come up with your own. Just say in your words what something tastes like. Give an example here.
