Living without the least

Unread postby Mike » Wed Mar 07, 2007 7:54 pm

I know Buffalo Trace has won awards aplenty and I like many, if not all, of their bourbons.

But, just for the sake of argument, (and because I am a bit weary of rye talk) the bourbon I would like to live without the least is good old Wild Turkey. I have complained a bit about the new 90 proof Russel's Reserve and it will never be my favorite of WT products. But, across the board, when I am sentenced to that mythical desert island and can take only one brand of whiskey, it will be Wild Turkey. I would not always have said that, but I do now.

And my dog, Barleycorn, from whom I have learned so little, but is no Turkey himself, says the self same thing!

OK, now back to the rye talk.......

I like peanut butter! I like toast and jam! (remember that old song)

Rye whisky, rye whisky, rye whisky I cry! (remember that old song)

I like bourbon whisky, I like rye (wry) two! (I just made up this song, sing it to the tune of I like peanut butter)
