i had an epiphany earlier this year that made me almost stop buying bourbon bottles. I realized Ive got tons of it here, so I stopped buying it and just am enjoying what I have. I only make an exception when I see a deal that doesnt come along often. My only exception in the past 6 months or so was a bottle of Bookers at $45, which is a good $10 below the normal new price that I am just not willing to pay. Going through 1-2 bottles of it a year, I have time to ride out until sales come along.

the pre-existing stash still is full of many many multiples of HH 6 BIB, KCSB, Dickel 9 year, and a variety of barrel proof Old Scout barrel proof bourbons and ryes.

Oh I still shop, it's a pleasant way to pass the time, just don't buy much unless I feel the purchase is worthwhile.
