For me it's 1 bottle put away of Stagg jr and 3 bottles of Elmer the lee bourbon, I'm in love with the Elmer and whenever I see these bottles at bunny's or the liquor barn I buy them up, not much luck lately I only have 3 bottles stashed of the stuff. .I would like to put away about 2 cases worth, 6 bottles come to a ccase, so what bottles are you guys hunting and stashing?

i have stashed three things:

Knob Creek single barrel. Not because its rare or anything, but because I really like it and found it at a half price sale where I cleared the shelf of all of them.

Heaven Hill 6 year BIB. Not because its rare, but because I enjoy it and there are rumors of its demise, and it is dirt cheap. $130 for a case of 12....and its good.......why NOT?!

Dickel 9 year 103 proof. Because I feared it would be a one time release and it is my absolute favorite without question. I bought all 10 bottles of it i could find last year, and still have 8. I was pleased last week to see a 2014 batch on shelves, and plan to load up on that asap as well, still fearing it may not be a long term release.

I have about 40 bottles in the bunker and only 3 of them are duplicates so I guess I just want 1 of everything.

Good luck Thig. I have over 800 bottles with less than half backed up. Practice makes perfect.

I should maybe add a bottle to my bunker. It does not seem to have caught on in central IL, so the one store that carries it always seems to have ~6 bottles each of the 7 year and 10 year. That is a positive for me concerning availability, but maybe not a positive if they aren't selling well.

I try not to get too "crazy" with filling the bunker, I already have enough of a challenge explaining my acquisitions to my fiance when I open them. With that said, I've snuck the following into the bunker:

Jack Daniels Green Label (was told Green was no longer going to be distributed in IL)

I have to get a little more self-control before I could stock a "bunker". I had two 1.75 Liter Weller 12 bottles, and a 2008 Pappy 15 a couple of weeks back. All are gone now though. If I could have my pick though, it would be Weller 12, Black Maple Hill Small Batch (NAS), and anything that tastes similar to the 2008 Pappy 15.

hoarding some Buffalo Trace "Single Oak Project" , damn, this is some smooth Bourbon. My favorite distributor, about an hr's ride, was down to a little over a case..so I ran up and grabbed it.
It's the only place I've seen it.

With my recent experience with the 112 proof batch of Rare Breed, I think I'm going to try and buy up any of the old 108's I come across. The 112 is pretty good but I think I like the 108 better.

currently, i still only have stockpiles of KCSB, Dickel 9, and Heaven Hill 6year BIB. I keep a close eye on HH6BIB, and if the rumor of its demise ever comes to fruition, I will buy about 4 more cases. Nothing better than a $10 bourbon that you actually enjoy!

I have been searching for Weller 12 for the past 3 months. Since there is Very LOW stock to NONE and just No more being made currently (Yeh..Wait 2-3 Yrs)

I got a Hit on a store and had 14 Bottles. (Talking to the manger and the locals do not drink this brand). Asked the manger to put these on the side....Lucky my Brother In-Law lives close to the store ( Mid West)...Got these Friday.

Got a call today that 8 more came in....That's it for the store as none in the Warehouse...And Yes...Purchased these to at $28 per bottle...
