Bourbon Tasting Results for 11-1-06

Unread postby Bourbon Joe » Wed Nov 01, 2006 6:55 pm

Attached are today's tasting results. We were two guys short today. I still can't believe I did this but I picked a EC-12 over a ORVW-15-107. I must be losing my mind.

Joe, you've lost your mind...........but you are still one of my bourbon heroes!! You are an honest man...........misguided at times, but honest!

Oh Joe, don't be so hard on yourself! When tasting totally blind there are always surprizes. That day the 12 year old Elijah Craig just 'did it' for you. Nothing at all to be ashamed about. Not only that but blind tasting helps us to stay both humble and open-minded. I rather like the fact that I can enjoy a $15 bourbon just as much as a $50 bourbon.

Joe, I do hope you know I am kidding you about being misguided. I always look forward to your tastings, and to the surprises they sometimes bring. Reminds me not to get puffed up and think I know something about bourbon.

I am suprised that the Eagle Rare 10yo 101 did not fare better. That is damn good bourbon.
