Rare Breed

Unread postby photogjunkie » Wed Aug 16, 2006 3:15 pm

Wild Turkey Rare Breed is one of my favorites, but I haven't had the opportunity yet to taste all of the different years of them. Does anyone know how many different expressions were created and the number code of each? Which years and codes are considered to be the best and the ones to be on the lookout for? My limited experience has been with only the 03-RB and 01-99 versions which I both think are superb. Thanks for any input in advance.

The 01-99 is OK but the 03-RB ia a cut above IMHO.

Has anybody here ever had the 01-91 batch. It was the first batch and I think that came out the same time as the Gold Label 12yo and we all know how good that was.

Other than the 99, and 03 I have a bottle of the 97 . . . better than the 99, jury is still out with me whether its better (or worse) than the 03....Think I'll give it a taste tonite and let you know. Until now, I've never done a real side by side.

Does anyone know what years after the introductory year of 91 that the next batch was produced? Did it jump from 91 to 97?
