Just want to express my appreciation to ole JoeBourbon for posting his tastings on this site. In my opinion, Joe is a 'simple is best' sort of guy who don't gab too much (unlike some of us), but when he talks, I listen.

He has put me on to several bourbons that I might not have otherwise tried and his tastings keep me from becoming too complacent in my opinions.

Based on his most recent tasting post, I went back and compared ORVW 10 YO and Pappy 20 (although it wasn't a blind test) and I do have a greater appreciation for the 10 YO. I still think the Pappy is in a different class though............one that I prefer.

But, I can see how someone with only a slightly different taste preference could take the 10 YO over the 20 YO (or the over 15 YO as Dave and Tina do). And, I can also believe that on some days, I might just choose the 10 over the 20.

Keep up the good work, Joe!

I agree whole-heartedly Mike, he's yet another great contributor here and a helper to those still experimenting. Reading the tasting notes he posts are fun and informative. Cheers Joe and thanks for your contributions.
