The last Pappy 15 that I drank was actually from the bottle at the Bourbon's Bistro. Now keep in mind that they sell Pappy 15 as fast as they can get it in, it is a very popular bourbon with their customers. Kerry, the bartender told me he agreed with my woodyness in the latest batch of Pappy 15, so it is probably a batch flavor profile quirk. I personally hope they get back to the less woody, more caramel, honey and pecan sweetness that I always loved in the Old Rip 15. It is a more complex and interesting taste.
