Ain't no bourbon too bad to drink

Unread postby Mike » Wed May 22, 2013 3:57 pm

I'll drink what is in front o' me
I'll drink sweet bourbon
I'll drink spicy bourbon
I'll drink wheat bourbon
I'll drink rye bourbon
I'll drink hot bourbon
I'll drink soft bourbon
I'll drink strong bourbon
I'll drink weak bourbon
I'll drink what I like bourbon
I'll drink what likes me bourbon
I ain't too good for no bourbon
No bourbon is too good for me
No bourbon is too bad for me
I got me favorites now
But I drink what is in front o' me
And find summit good in it
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rage at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light. - Dylan Thomas

Mike you have inspired me to write poetry also.

There is great bourbon
There is good bourbon
There is good enough bourbon
There is bourbon that belongs in Coke.

At the end of the day, it all drinks.
There is some truth in the claim that if it meets the Federal legal definition of bourbon, you have a pretty good adult beverage to enjoy. Mixing bourbon is not sacreligious like I use to think, its a legit way for some to enjoy. I like an old fashioned or manhattan from time to time. Ma use to drink 7-up & VO, and that was my start many years ago. (Author knows VO isn't bourbon so don't point this out)
