My two favorite budget bourbons are old weller antique 107 and old grand dad 114. These are incredible bourbons for the price. What are your favorite whiskeys around $25 or under.

im a newbie.

i really wanted to like the ogd 114 after reading the reviews and since I like higher proofs, but was unimpressed. sitting down with a glass of it isnt bad at all, but when having samplings of it back to back with others, i have to admit it came in last....not only with me but with everyone else doing the blind tasting.

right now, id have to say Larceny is the best for the money (under $20) for what ive tried....especially when it is half price with the mail-in-rebate. it makes it about $11 for a 750 after the rebate, or $21 of a 1.75.

Evan Williams Single Barrel by far. Next would maybe be Elijah Craig 12YO.

I get Knob Creek for $24.95 and that would be the best at that price range, but that's high end stuff to me. I like the usual suspects from Heaven Hill, Beam Black, and Wild Turkey too. Larceny is a new one that I like alot from HH.

Don't overlook Ridgemont 1792, its under $25 and mighty fine.

When you say 'budget, I'm thinking anything less than $15 a 750ml, but then against taxes around the country have a big impact. And our friends from Canada get truly jipped.

It's a good point that budget is a relative term but I wanted to give a decent range besides lower shelf offerings. I think that ewsb and wild turkey especially the 101 are right up there for me.

OGD 114 and Weller 12. Just ouside of the $25 range is 4RSmB, which is my favorite.
