Pre 1964 SW Weller's Antique Reserve 110 - unopened

Unread postby love2velo » Tue Apr 30, 2013 8:43 am

I have an unopened bottle of S-W Weller's Antique Reserve 10YO 110 proof (pre 1964). I understand that Pappy Van Winkle ran the operations of S-W and that Julian Van Winkle uses the old S-W stock to make Rip van Winkle. I assume this bottle has some value but does anyone know what this would be worth? I'm not really looking to sell it - Just curious due to it's heritage - we plan to drink this as a tribute when my father-in-law passes - they owned a liquor wholesale/retail shop in Milwaukee.

Also, I know it is pre-1964 due to the bottle having resale warning in the glass...is there a way to tell how old it is beyond that?
