Wine Aerators Work on Bourbon

Now i don't know where this goes but after looking this looks like the right place, have any of you spared the cash to try out the wine aerator on your bourbon/whiskies. It sounds like an interesting experiment that i will be trying in a few days if my local store has one. I remember reading a review about a guy thinking of using a wine aerator on the bourbon he was reviewing, thoughts and opinions would be appreciated.
