Midtown Manhattan

Unread postby Steinkalt » Thu Feb 28, 2013 3:57 pm

I live in VA which is a controlled state so there's no such thing as a dusty bottle that I'm aware of. I will be vacationing during spring break in Manhattan. I think finding a couple of dusty bottles would make the trip. Any advice? I'll be staying on 5th right across from Bryant Park. Any honey holes in the area. That's holes no ho's lol.
Why is it that I get one glass from a new bottle and by the time I'm ready for #2, the wife has killed it? :(

I would think that all the valuable stuff has been picked, but you never know. Several years ago I was still buying Wild Turkey Tribute in Manhattan. There are a lot of stores there and, if I were you, I'd check as many as you can. You never know.

I'd think manhattan is picked pretty clean esp since it's been cleaned up a lot in recent years and there are liquor stores in now non-scary neighborhoods were some whiskey head would be more likely to be in now. but like Joe said, look around.

Here's a great place to check out. Not exactly what you asked for but still ver close to bourbon. Check out their whisky menu.

Also this store has a decent selection but make sure to call them first to see if they have exactly what you are looking for. Sore itself is very small but since they don't have nay wine or vodka anything that's not whiskey it's enough to have good "small market" inventory. Prices are higher then any other place thou. It's on Brooklyn thou, not Manhattan but VERY close.

This store in brooklyn probably has more choices then any other place I know of:
