yeah my rants are poor. I actually edit them to improve them!
I think I want the same certain characters in wood, mash, textures all the time.
Not into a night sipper. Some too strong for me. Rb is superior. It's just not for me.
Even Dickel Select was too much for me to handle. No 12 No 8 I can drink.
You think JD single might be good for me? some no 7 were softer on the wood. others rough

I actually prefer the gentleman jack over the SB, although none of the JD family really does it for more me, I like the edges of me whiskey to be left rough and pointy.
I've noticed greater variations between bottlings of the SB than any other single barrel whiskey, maybe it was just circumstance but the three bottles I've had were Distinctly different, where as with other producers I usually struggle to recall from memory a difference.
Considering the SB pricepoint in OZ try the gentleman first if u haven't already.

I over looked WT101 for a while, but picked a couple of bottles on sale. I figured a big brand name would be over priced and under deliver, but that is not the case with Wild Turkey. It has great flavor and medium viscosity in a high proof bourbon. I don't always have it on hand, but it is often the best choice at restraunts so I have it there.

I'm as happy with WT101 as the more expensive choices like Russels or Rare Breed.

is it you get fresh mash quality but big soft wood flavors and grip comes in.
I read it has a good charcoal kick too.
it is not a night cap one is it?
a gentleman jack i had the wood was not right for me but i read there lowest barrels.
why on ebay some year dates are much more expansive?
i might get 101 now and JD later. 101 Reviews are consistent and no boozy off notes.

I have been spending it all on bourbons. Not bought a good scotch all a year.

this 101 i tiny bit hot and strong for me. i think i liked the 86 batch i had.

JD has a cult following and is often sought after as a collector's item with no intention of ever drinking the contents. Some avid collectors spare no expense.

JACK DANIELS SILVER I just read about. I think that what im after. Its a blend of best barrels for No 7.
Jack Sngle I read is more oaky and just one barrel. Dickel Select was way too oaky and heavy toasted for me.
So Silver is like no 7 from heaven and has still has that youth too it.

has anyone tried Bufflio Trace White Dog? Is that like a fresh light whisky with all the grains in taste.
