The bourbon producers should:

Come and vote your opinions on events in the whiskey world here! Let the polling begin!

Moderators: Squire, Dump Bucket

Choose two options

Offer several mash recipes of low entry proof bourbon of about 6 years of age at a reasonable cost
Give the Master Distillers more say in the product line
Give the Master Distillers more freedom to experiment (like the micro distilleries do)
Offer no bourbon that costs more than $50.........that is the most any of them are really worth
Continue on to offer the current product lines.........good to excellent whiskey is being produced and the demands are being met at a profit
Move the accountants and marketeers to an empty warehouse with no lights, no heat, and no a/c
Total votes : 56

Our chance to voice some opinions on this topic. I voted for offering some low entry proof recipes and giving the MDs more freedom to experiment

I voted the low distillation and entry proof and moving the accountants to the warehouse. I think that if you put "no running water or bathrooms" I would have placed both my votes there.

I chose the first and last options as well. In the case of a couple of personal favorites of mine, I continue to believe that barrel entry proof is the single biggest difference between the product now and the product I've tasted from 25-30 years ago (Old Grand Dad in particular).

If you did 2 and 3, you might wind up accomplishing the first and last options in the process.

I'm the one that voted for no bourbon over $50, 'cause I'm a cheap bastard.
