Bourbon Basting and Camping

I realized when I went camping this weekend that I always use a simple Bourbon Basting recipe when making Kabobs. I felt obliged to share.

It is simple and I know I'm not original or a genius, but when you are camping it tastes so good.

I use 3 B's when basting: Bourbon, Basil oil and Butter. I baste often and get a nice glaze over the vegetables and meat, usually shrimp and chicken, homegrown onions, squash, zuichinni and potatoes. (Homegrown by the nice old lady next door, Thanks Mrs. Lynn!)

Anyway, does anyone else have any other simple Bourbon grilling rubs or mixtures they use on meat and vegetables that might work for camping?

I am no great cook by a long shot but I do enjoy grilling and trying new marinates and bastings. As of late I keep a standard base and add different things to test new things.
My base is as follows.
Bourbon
Whistershire (sp) sauce
Brown sugar
Spicy brown mustard
Mrs. Dash basic mix
I don't measure any of these out I just make to taste.

I may add the Brown Sugar as a 4th B to my mixture next time. That may add the extra sweetness I'm looking for partly in the Bourbon.
