Bourbon Cherries

Unread postby johnnyboots » Mon Oct 24, 2011 7:27 pm

Fill a Mason jar about 3/4 of the way with pitted cherries, feel free to break the skin a bit without mashing them too much, add a teaspoon of honey and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Fill the jar with some rye, bourbon or tennessee's finest and let rest in a cool dry place for 6 months, shaking every 2 weeks or so. The result? is magical.

I have done much the same. Except I was told to leave the pits in. And I used a couple of cups of sugar.
