Excellet review of this bourbon. I agree totally with what you have said except cinnamon which I havn't tasted. I also think the least of this of all the Van Winkles and perfer the 90 proof 10 yr to it. The 12yr Lot B is my drink of choice, however I do keep a bottle of this on hand at all times as I have a couple of friends that would disagree with both of us. To them this is second only to the 15yr Pappy. I know this will be unpopular on this board but try a pinch of brown sugar and a dash of warm water mix to this and it opens up a whole new taste to this product. I look forward to futher reviews by you.

How about buy some $10-$15 bourbon and make an old fashioned? I would only add maybe an ice cube to the VW. I really enjoy the reviews.

Adding sugar or water is a very old tradition. It is perfectly okay to do this. In the 1800's, whiskey was very often taken as a toddy, which is whiskey, sugar and warm or cold water. It's all good.
