One I'll plan to pick up. One of the best bourbons I ever had was a 15 year old version of this brand, but it sounds like the 12 is up there in the same range. Considering too that the 12 was released some years ago to replace the 15, I wonder if it isn't (or some of it) more than 12 years old.

yes, i took an 'informal' last swallow (happy inauguration)....and as i chewed (it's thick enough for that) and twirled it in my mouth, i noticed that sweet density stayed center while the spices flickered outwards like the spiral arms of a galaxy...this is astounding stuff, not in a truly explosive way, but in that it balances DEEP mellowness and incandescent outbursts in a way that spells out simply, solid, unique bourbon. others compare. many pale. more reach higher. but for $25, this continues to impress. bottle to bottle. and pour to pour.

I agree that EB 12y/o is an outstanding buy and you can actually buy this one in Pennsylvania. :wow:
