One of the things I like about Mike is that he will review a bourbon several times. In this case three times. It shows just how subjective such an undertaking can be. He seems not to worry or care about the hobgoblin of consistency. Which I for one applaud roundly. His reviews are for the most part entertaining, but are never dry; stuffy, or boring. He does indeed strive to be as accurate in his tasting notes as he can. Of this I have no doubt. We all change over time. Seasons change. Moods shift. Even though the bourbon doesn't change (unless it oxidizes) our perceptions will shift. I always value his well founded observations no matter how they are delivered especially if Mark Twain helps in the tasting.
