Nice! I think it's one of the very best values in bourbon these days. I like the 114 variant best.

I can't see not having 114 on hand at all times. Don't visit it that often but would grow nervous if there wasn't some around.

Probably the most constant bourbon in my decreasing collection of bourbons is Old Grand Dad. I do not find the finish short as you do. For a short finish compare OGD to Maker's Mark.
