Mike,

I honestly couldn't agree with you more. I have had WR many times and cannot place it into what you would consider a "top shelf" category. I'm personally still sold on its parent Old Forester 100 Proof. I believe it's about the external perception people have when it comes to the method of distillation. As if that alone should place it above all others. I believe it makes it unique, but not exceptional. Still, a good bourbon, even if overpriced. The local shop just got in some 4 grain ($80). I don't know if I can justify the cost. I'm afraid of what it will taste like.
