Mike,

I too like Bulleit. I like the inflence of its high rye content. It geive Bulleit a good kick thats to my liking, without being too harsh. Yiy aksi can't afrgue with the price.

No offense, Bob, but how many Bulleits had you had when you posted this?

We like Bulleit a lot, too. It reminds me somewhat of the fabulous FR SB.

My stepbrother sells Bulleit for Diageo here in VA. I'm starting to argue with the price, though (now up to $23). They are marketing it against MM, despite the obvious dissimilarity between the two. It's all about brand loyalty and perception, I guess. In VA, the more it costs, the higher it goes on the shelf, more or less.

Dave,

This was actually a top secret experiment; primarily studying the level of concentration that readers have to the content that they are reading. I'd have to say that there is still a tol erom krow ot od.

I feel obligated to add my two cents.
My login with many sites(NY Times for one) is BourbonBob, but I see that's been taken (small surpise on this site). Before coming to LuVl in 2004, I was an outcast in Colorado for my preference of Elijah Craig over everyone's Jack. I'm not buying name recognition over, say, whiskey. When we moved here, we discovered Bulleit. My Polish wife gave up her Chopin and Wyborova(both excellent vodkas) and I've moved the EJ12 to make room for Bulleit (we still have it, just moved it over a bit..we're not that silly). Our 'regular' alternates from Bulleit to Barton's 1792 depending on mood. Our preference for both is on the rocks; let it settle for about 30 seconds( I usually can wait that long, not more), and enjoy. Our special sippin whiskey is George Stagg's Fall 2005--I'm amused that it's considered HAZMAT (look it up on the WIKI).
Bulleit's the only whiskey that we buy 'family size'(1.75L). And 1792Bob doesn't have that 'ring' to it.

Linn,

You've stated in the past that my writing confuses you; I must say that this post has ME confused. Just what are YOU saying here?

So Linn, tell us how you really feel about Bulleit...

Again, just a difference in opinion Linn, let's not get all carried away now.
