I think what angelshare is trying to say here is good bourbon is good bourbon no matter what age it is. Yes, I W Harper does taste different from the older, more barrel dominated bourbons, but it is still good bourbon. I think this is a good example of the difference between age and maturity. It is possible to make a bourbon that taste great after 4 years. At that age it is mature. Extra years of age will change the flavor and some may see this as an improvement, but not everybody will. I W Harper is a very good younger bourbon that is a pleasure to drink. Makes me want to go to Dallas to see if there are still any bottles for sale so I can again enjoy this bourbon.
