Is this whiskey aged? Or is it like Georgia Moon, clear and no aging.

Thanks
Oscar

Mellow Corn is bottled in bond so it is at least 4 years old.

I also assume it is aged in used barrels.

This tastes nothing like Georgia Moon. I very much enjoy a taste of white dog right off the still, and Georgia Moon tastes just like that, but I cannot imagine drinking a whole glass of G. Moon, let alone the bottle (jar, actually).

Mellow Corn is a toally different animal and quite nice.

MikeK,
Larry Cass at Heaven Hill, who agrees with me that Mellow Corn is a much under rated product, told me it is aged at least four years, usually not much more than four years, in used cooperage.

I like white dog and I could drink a whole jar of it, but the filtering and lowering of the proof to 80 does make Georgia Moon inferior to white dog off the still.
