I find it interesting that the barreling date overlaps those for the EC18. Was it not good enough at 18yo to put into a barrel?

I dropped ~$150 on this and was very disappointed. Very heavy sour aftertaste and just not pleasurable. The only other high-year/price bottle I've gotten was a $210 Jefferson Presidential Reserve 21 Year and that was simply glorious. The EC21 was especially disappointing because I really like EC as a go-to cheap-ish bourbon

Tried it once and it was average. I mean read comment below, it is really overpriced
