I don't see Wathen's mentioned here that much. Anybody here find it to be a good choice?
It has become my main bourbon. Just right after a long day. Smooth sipper, good kicker. :D

I think its a nice bourbon but a little too light for me. I also think it is a little overpriced for what it offers. Charles Medley owns the brand, I believe Heaven Hill makes the bourbon, it is bottled in CA.

Thanks for the information. I get it for about $30 a bottle. When I think of light, I think of smooth, without an after taste. Buffalo Trace is smooth to me.
When I want a treat I buy Blanton's. What is your favorite?

It depends what mood I am in. If you put a gun to my head I would say Pappy Van Winkle 15 year Old. I also love Blantons, Four Roses Single Barrel and Small Batch, Wild Turkey Rare Breed and Kentucky Spirit, Evan Williams Single Barrel. The list goes on and on. A shorter answer would be what bourbons don't I like :)

Gotcha. If it's good, you're on it. I have to try a few more. The club I played in tonight actually had Woodford Reserve!
That's a rare find, so I did a shot while packing my gear. It's a good quality bourbon for a bar.

I love Woodford Reserve, think its an excellent bourbon! I also love Bookers, I like Bakers and Knob creek alot as well. Enjoy the bourbon journey and keep us updated as to your likes and dislikes!
