Hello Gentlemen,

I found a couple of old, sealed bourbon bottles that my grandfather had. He wasn't known for buying the finest of anything, so my expectations are low. I only ask the value of these because these were part of his estate and I wanted them, so I must compensate my siblings for their value. Please see the attached pictures. I will try to contact Old Charter and Old Forester directly to see if they can help determine the approximate age of the bottles. Sorry about some of the photos being blurry...gotta love camera phones.

Thanks in advance,
Mark

Hi, I'm not sure what their worth but I would be interested in the Old Forester if you decided you wanted to sell it? If so PM me.

My best guess is the 70's. I think they made these glass decanters back then. The whiskey in them is good but not exceptional and would not command too high a price. I would drink them and toast your Grandparents.

I agree with Bourbon Joe. Both of these brands are still available. You could use the price of the modern versions as a starting point to figure out a fair price. Maybe add on a few bucks just for the novelty.

I have a bottle of Very old Fitzgerald that came into my possession. It is a 10 year old barreled in 1951 and bottled in 1961. You guys have any idea to its worth? Ive thought about keeping to for awhile, but I am not a connoisseur of these sorts of things. I typically drink decent bourbons like Makers Mark and Buffalo Trace among a few others around that block, say like Knob Creek, but i just havent developed an appreciation or understanding of anything much past that. You guys have any information on this particular brand? Any recommendations on what to do with it?

Thanks for your insight, I know im new around here, but this seemed like the place to reach out for some answers.

Dear Bourbon Enthusiasts,

I bought a bottle of Woodford Reserve Double Oaked that had "Batch #1, Chris Morris (autograph)" written on it in gold pen. Does anyone know how much this is worth, or could be worth? It was confirmed by Woodford Reserve that Chris Morris did write "Batch #1" on some of the first-run bottles.

The 750 ml bottle is sealed / unopened with its contents. I have the original receipt and the correspondence from Woodford Reserve to verify the legitimacy of this bottle's writing.

Also, I'm not a typical collector, but I love Woodford Reserve Double Oaked and I recognized this as an awesome find when I saw it. If anyone is interested in buying this collector's item, you are welcome to contact me.

Sincerely,

Mitch

I have acquired a bottle of Very Very Old Fitzgerald barreled in 1956 and bottled in 1968 (12 years), my father in law passed away and this was one of his prized possessions.
It is unopened in excellent condition. My wife and I are wanting to know the possible value of this item and if it is possible to sell on eBay or some place.
Thanks

We have recently aquired a bottle of Maker's Mark 1956 through my father's estate. We have already contacted Sotheby's Auction House & have been given offers that are basically "all over the place". Can anyone out there tell us what this bottle may be worth? It has a serial number on the back label, & we can provide pictures on request. Thank you.

That Makers Mark, if it has a gold capsule and if it is 101 proof, is some very good whiskey. Since you cannot get the ridiculous prices on e-bay anymore, I'd offer $100.00 for it. Let me know.

Good morning! I have 4/5 quart bottle of I.W. harper 100 proof bourbon. On the tape it shows two dates, Fall 1953, and Fall 1958.
I assume it was bottled in 1953, correct? Any idea of the value ?
Thank you

No, it was distilled in Fall 53 and bottled in Fall 58. Worth about 75 bucks. If you want to sell it, let me know.
