Very Old Fitzgerald - Aged 8 years - Bottled in 1958

Unread postby Old Fitz » Sun Jun 23, 2013 11:30 pm

Hello Burbon Enthusiasts!

I have multiple bottles of Very Old Fitzgerald. Two of which have a high shoulder fill. These are 1/2 pint bottles in near mint condition as they have only just been been removed from their original box and tissue wrap they were nested in. They both were bottled in bond and their tax stamp is in pristine condition. These were both barreled 1950 and bottled in 1958. I am looking for people to shed some light on the value.

I do have multiple other bottles which fit the description above but the only difference is the fill is at mid shoulder.

Thanks!

One 1956/1968 12-yr
One 1957/1969 12-yr (still partially wrapped)

I have a sealed pint of 100 proof Kentucky Tavern BIB Straight Bourbon Whiskey. The seal and tax stamp are intact. The seal dates the bottle as: made: Spring 1947 & Bottled: Spring 1951. I also have a dated 1946 Kentucky Tavern print ad & ashtray featured in the ad. The ashtray is also dated 1946. I am wanting to know the value of these as a set (if possible). I am not interested in breaking them up. I've been trying to run across a couple of vintage glasses to go with this set. Please let me know if you have any idea the value.......thanks!

Hi

I have a 1952 unopened bottle of Park & Tilford Kentucky Straight Bourbon. Any idea what that would be worth?

Thanks Shawn

Hi All,
I have a 1930 Mattingly and Moore quart bottle unopened. Bottled by Franklin Distilleries in the Baltimore plant. It's in a decorative cardboard case -stamped metal top and bottom - that says "Antique "Straight Whiskey Bottled in Bond...." Seals and labels intact though date seal is ripped. Any ideas?
My father worked for Seagrams (under Sam Bronfman and RT Wilkie) and then Heublein. Must have been a gift or something.
Thanks,
Jack Nelson

I have an unopened Herman Marshall Bourbon Batch 1, signed by both Herman and Marshall. Any idea of current value, if any?

I have a question, I was wondering what would be a good investment bottle of bourbon? My father is a big fan of Booker's and I just found out that in March the did a limited release of a 25th anniversary bottle that has been aged for ten years. I bought two bottles, one for him as a gift and one for me. Is this a bottle that would be worth holding onto for like 20-30 years or should I open it on a special occasion?

From what I have read, there isn't much of a market for investing in bourbon specifically so I have my doubts about holding onto it.

Thanks!

Hello, was just given a bottle from a friend. As far as I can tell from internet research it is the 1955 old forester decanter and signature as it is in a decanter bottle and is 100 proof. Also it has a u.s. Navy sticker/seal/stocking number on it. I have no clue what this is and I'm very curious to learn about it.

I have a bottle of Old Grand-Dad 114 Lot.1 The bottle I purchased has the 114 emblem on it upside down. I was wondering if this was a rare bottle and if it is how much would it be worth?

I may be wrong but I don't believe this one is highly collectible.

I am in possession of a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle 23 yr. I was given this bottle several years ago not knowing exactly what I had received. I would love to know as much about this bottle as you can provide (year bottled, where the liquid came from, etc). It is a slightly green glass bottle with a Gold wax top. I cannot find a Bottling date anywhere. It is numbered (less than 1000) It was bottled in Lawrenceburg if that helps shed light on its history. Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide.

I have a Woodford Reserve unopened bottle. It is a special edition from Breeder's Cup Ltd. 2002 that was held at Arlington Race Track, Chicago. Pretty good condition but paper a little worn where you would open bottle. I was thinking about donating the bottle for a silent auction for Children's Hospital but not if it's not worth anymore than the regular cost of a new purchased bottle. Thank you.
