White Dog from Jim Beam

Unread postby tmckenzie » Wed Dec 16, 2009 9:58 am

I was in an out of the way liquor store yesterday, and on the back shelf was a what looks like a 100 ml bottle of white dog from Jim Beam. The label says White Dog and has what else on it? Why a white dog of course. The label says 125 proof bourbon whiskey distillate, withdrawn December the 15th 1993 for marketing purposes only. So it must have been an idea, that they circulated among store owners. I bought it for 4 bucks, and it was its 16 birthday. I have tasted a lot of white dog, but this has to be the lightest. It has a slight funk due to yeast I would say, and I detect white corn. I read somewhere one time that they use a little white corn. Has anybody else seen this bottling or for that matter had Jim Beam"s white dog?
