I hope my picture link works.
I am trying to establish an approximate age for this bottle.
This is a Guckenheimer bottle with a glass stopper. It is unique in its design, so I am wondering if it could it be a special issue celebrating the highest score at the 1893 World's Coluinbian Exposition? From the bottle manufacture marks, I’m comfortable with an approximate age of 1900 - 1910, it could also be as far back as 1890, but evidence lacking to establish this. I kind of feel it might also be a bottle celebrating the turn of the century, due to its futuristic style. Does any one know what years glass stoppers were common with long body and slender neck bottles? Also, trging to establish dates when the Guckenheimer plant used double copper distilling tanks in order to help date other items. Also, seeking information on dating whiskey bottles, or experts in this field.
Thanks
Joe
