James Walsh Distillery Lawrenceburg Ind

Unread postby osurfc » Sun Mar 01, 2009 11:33 am

I am looking for information/history on The James Walsh and Company Distillery located in Lawrenceburg Ind. Does anyone have any ideas of where to find information. I know they operated as the Old Rossville Alcohol plant during prohibition. Founded by the three O'Shaughnessy brothers from Newport (William,Victor,Eugene) Their father Peter worked for James Walsh distillery in Covington.

Thanks

I wish I knew Lawrenceburg's whiskey-making history better than I do. I do know that there is one distillery still there and there used to be another one, operated by Schenley, nearby. I don't recognize the James Walsh name, so I don't know it that was one of those two, another one, or just a DBA.
