How do I Preserve the Whiskey and the Labels?

My Guckenheimer collection is coming along fine.
But I was wondering if there are methods I can use to preserve the labels which are flaking off, and which will not harm the label? Also, is there some substance that I can seal the bottle corks to retard evaporation which will not harm the bottle?
If there is perhaps a shrink plastic warp the collectors use made specifically for the purpose that would be great.
Right now, I have taped clear plastic around the bottle to keep the labels from flaking away.
I also have the paper tubes that some of the bottles came in which are very flakey, and not sure what to do to preserve them.
Any preservation tips are greatly appreciated!
