Any Ideas on barrel and worth?

Unread postby barB » Fri Sep 19, 2008 8:35 pm

I recently have acquired an old whiskey barrel that is intact (though, alas, empty :( ), including the metal rings etc. On the top it is stamped Pennco. and a blurry date along with "rye whiskey". I would need to look again at it to be sure, though I know that the Pennco is correct. Can anyone help me to identify this as for age, what to look for, and information on worth? Thanks barB

Pennco traces its heritage to Continental Distilling (Kinsey) in Philadelphia. Send "Kinsey Worker" a pm and he will tell you almost everything you wanted to know about "Pennco" rye.
