1951 Old Forester

Have an old/rare bottle you'd like some more info on?

1951 Old Forester

I was recently given several older bottles of Bourbon, most notably an Old Forester bottled-in -bond from 1951.

Is there a consensus on the drinkability? The seal is still intact.

Thanks all.

Anything with a good seal and no or little evaporation should be just fine.

Just to add to Chuck's statement...if it looks clear and not cloudy, it's probably fine.

So that makes it:
-Seal in good shape
-Fill level good
-Non cloudy

if it fits all of these, try it.
