I started collecting pre-prohibition shot glasses back in the early 1980's. I was finding awesome etched-engraved, thin glass shot glasses at the flea markets and antique shops for around a dollar or two. Now, they are fetching upwards of 100 dollars or more.

Anyone in here collect old shot glasses?

I collect early shot glasses, have a few from the mid 1800's with pontil scars on the bottom, some of the first mold blown glasses. Also have a couple hand blown "whiskey tasters" from the early to mid 1800's and a bunch of thin pre prohibiton advertising glasses too. I'll post a picture soon.

Here's a few from the early to mid 1800's(hand blown "whiskey tasters" and EAPG - Early American Pressed Glass) and also some pre-prohibition advertising glasses from the late 1800's to early 1900's.

Here's what might be the oldest shot glasses in my collection, dating back to the late 1700's to early 1800's.
They are hand blown and the designs are hand cut.
