bourbon collection questions/values
Posted: Tue Mar 18, 2014 12:14 amI found this collection in a storage unit. Unfortunately, some of the bottles have bad levels, but the old Fitz and Eagle rare are completely full. All of the bottles are sealed with tax stickers. I've been a bartender for 20 years (and a bar manger for 10) and opened one that had a pretty low level and was considered a lesser bourbon. Having tried most of the stuff out now (pappy, etc). It was pretty impressive.
It came with a collection of scotches too, which are more my style and man are they impressive.
Only 2 of the bottles had turned cloud, in fact, I thought the one was baileys in a switched bottle! They were stored with a bottle of Sambuca that was upside down, hence the residue or off colors on some of the bottles.
I'm curious as to the value. I'm getting offers all over the board. Thanks for your help and time.
