If there is a PALCB stamp on it, it cannot be very very old.

That stamp hasn't been used by the PLCB in my lifetime, and I'm 47.

Park and Tilford only entered the spirits business with their own brands and distilleries after prohibition. Schenley acquired the company in the early 1950s. Looking at the label, I would date this bottle from the 1950s or 60s. I guess it just depends upon what Joe considers "Old".

I believe the 4/5 quart size bottle was invented due to rationing during WW II (and continued afterward). I don't see a upc bar code; so it's probably from before the late 70s.

I would consider 50's to be possible but not 40's.

The same PLCB stamp on this bottle appears on the 1943 Old Overholt bottle, although this one is incomplete. I also noticed that the bottom of the bottle has "3 D 43 44" embossed on it.
A little further research shows that the P&T Brownsville, PA distillery was a Federally-funded WWII operation and apparently closed down at the end of the war.
So, it would seem this little nugget is circa 1944-1945.
