Well I decided that today is the day to open up the THA. Ima sitting here with my THA in my Sierra Nevada glass about to throw up (my feet), rare back and sip this wonderful and unusual stuff. Wisht y'all was here with me to discuss barley wines.

THA is potent for a beer (11.7%) and really tastes more like a wine (unlike Sierra Nevada Bigfoot, which must have about 3 pounds of hops per bottle) than a beer.

Still, it is an excellent brew that would top off a rich meal like a fine Port can.

On the third sip now and I can feel a slight fuzziness in the ole pea brain. This brew is so rich and malty that I don't believe I could drink another, even though the bottle only holds 8.5 ounces.

If you are a lover of different types of beer and ain't tried THA yet, do so and let me know what you think. If you can't get aholt of none, send me an email and I will see kin we get Uncle Sam to bring some to yo very door and hep out with yo difficiency.

THA will make yo head delightfully fuzzy, tickle yo tastebuds, and cure what ails ya!

Now, scuze me, whilst I have another sip!

Mike,
You are making me thirsty! Maybe I will stop at the liquor store on the way home to look for some Tom Hardy.

Hey Bob, that bottle you showed me from something in the early 90's... That was a Tom Hardy right? I think it had a pic of a guys head on the front or something... When you eventually open it up I sure as hell hope I'm around!

Sounds great Mike, I've got to get me one of these and let it age some. I've got a few barleywines that I've been letting age a bit. From tasting sme of Bob's older Monsterales and Bigfoot Ales they truly do get better with a few years on them.

Yeah, Bigfoot is barely drinkable to me when it is first brewed. I have a six pack just aging and aging. It becomes much more mellow in even one year. I have never been able to hold on to it for more that a year or a year and a half though. I had some draft Monster Ale recently and that was excellent. I wouldn't want to drink just barley wines, but they make a really nice change.

But you know a man (or woman) has got to have a good ole well-hopped pale ale every now and then. Hard to beat what Sierre Nevada does with pale ale.........then there are the Anchor beers, and the Bert Grant's Perfect Porter.......not to mention all that stuff from England and Belgium.

If any of you guys or gals happens to be coming to Atlanta for business or pleasure, please let me know and we will bend an elbow and jawbone at my very house. I usually keep a decent supply of beer hereabouts.

And lordy, I ain't even mentioned the bourbon yet!! If I knew one of y'all was acoming, them poor chickens would be in a world of hunger, what with me laying in new spirits. (Don't have to worry about the dog nomore nohow cause he is on his way to JoeBourbons house in Pa. I am trading him for the Old Rip 15 YO Joe has).

Imo miss that dog, he read me the evening paper on most days. But he did like bourbon a bit too much (don't tell JoeBourbon about the dog liking bourbon so much).
