Royal Northern Cream Whisky

Hello everybody. Although I am mostly a Bourbon drinker, currently enjoying some 4 Roses single batch, Scotch occasionally becomes a tasteful switch. A friend was cleaning his grandmother's basement and ran across some Scotch. It seems pretty old. I was going to taste it, but thought it might have historic value. The bottle is a two mold with a nice bubble and uneven sides at the bottom. The label was taped to the bottle. The back of the label has what appears to be an engraving. It's unopened and of course I should drink it, but I want to share some pics with everyone here first.
Thanks
Frezo

Very interesting. I found a little about Lauders Royal northern Cream Whisky. Here is a web page with a little information.

And here is a place auctioning off a bottle, (sorry no price mentioned)

One interesting note I found about the Whisky is that it was apparently a blend made and marketed by Lauder's bar in Glasgow, (which still exists). Archibald Lauder was a early proponent of the laws requiring a minimum age and quality level of Whiskies called "Scotch", such as 3 years minimum age.
There is certainly a possibility that you can get information on this scotch whisky from Lauder's bar in Glasgow. They may even have interest in the bottle. You definitely should look into the value and not drink it, unless of course you really want to.

Good luck
