One interesting note I found about the Whisky is that it was apparently a blend made and marketed by Lauder's bar in Glasgow, (which still exists). Archibald Lauder was a early proponent of the laws requiring a minimum age and quality level of Whiskies called "Scotch", such as 3 years minimum age.
There is certainly a possibility that you can get information on this scotch whisky from Lauder's bar in Glasgow. They may even have interest in the bottle. You definitely should look into the value and not drink it, unless of course you really want to.
