What are your preferences as far as the drinking glass design and/or manufacture is concerned to get the best sipping experience?

What are your preferences as far as the drinking glass design and/or manufacture is concerned to get the best sipping experience? The first time I try a new single malt Scotch, I use one of my Glencairn glasses. This way I can experience every nuance of the "nose", along with the taste, of the whisky. After that, I grab any old double old-fashioned glass (whisky glass) and do the honors.

Hehe. I just did a quick Google search for "Glencairn" and pasted the URL of the first "hit" into the window. Judicious shopping will probably result in a much more inexpensive glass.

Howi, betake yoself to the nearest IKEA and buy 6 of the $1 glasses that are like a wine glass on a short pedestal but are very open at the top and you will be so happy. I have been drinking all spirits from such glasses for a couple of years now and recommend them wo reservation!
Saaaluute!
Now, what more questions?
