Old Scotch

I have posted the following in the "Collectors Corner" but think it might derive more interest here in the Scotch section, it being Scotch and all....

A friend, a true friend, just brought me an UNOPENED bottle of Park & Tilford "Special Selection" Bonnie Lassie Blended Scotch Whisky. She said it had resided in her basement for probably 30 years. It was purchased at an Asheville, NC ABC Board Store #2 on Sep. 9 in some year at an undetermined price, both year and price being scraped off.

I suspect it may not be high quality Scotch, but, nevertheless, do not wish to serve a piece of history to myself and friends without some commentary from those of you who know about things like this.

Should I commence to share? Keep bottle and whisky in tact? Give it away? Sell it for a small fortune to a collector? Help!

If you want/need a photo, send me an email and I will send you one: kurmugon@bellsouth.net.

Park & Tilford was a standard, value price blend back in the day so I would try it and if it's ok share with some friends.
