I'm enjoying a Padron 1964 Anniversary Monarca with a generous pour of Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage 1997. The '64 Anni Monarca is by far my most favorite Padron and one of the very best smokes on the planet. The smoke is thick and rich and complex and really goes well with any bourbon. This stick is a good three years old and I still have one left in the humi. :king:

A Punch Maduro and some Old Overholt Bottled in Bond 1951-1961. Ten year old rye that has a sweet molasses cookie flavor that balances the heavy caramel/leather/spice smoke of the cigar. Pardon me while I go outside and fire up another one since the first one was sooo. goood!

ima sucking ona La Luna perfecto - first and only release from Little Havana, Miami, FL. Hand rolled with love by Marta. A BIG glass of 'The Fox' brings the smokes to the folks.

I had a near-out-of-body experience tonight. I had a generous pour of the new Four Roses Rutledge 40th Anniversary Barrel Proof (this one was 102.8 proof) with a Salazar Hermanos cigar. WOW :!: :!:

For the last couple of years, I have a Sunday ritual, which helps me face Monday mornings. Around this time (6:30 pm) I search the humidors and find the cigar which strikes my fancy, then pick something to imbibe with said stick.

This evening, I am relaxing with an Ashton VSG and Four Roses Single Barrel with a splash of water.

It was a nice day today so this afternoon I went out on the bourbon deck and had a nice pour of Eagle Rare Old Prentice New Orleans and a Padron Maduro. Splendid combination.

Sounds like a good time Joe. I'd like to get up your way sometime. I'm still waiting for the 120th Four Roses.

A Montecristo #4 with 2006 Thomes Handy rye for Memorial Day. I thought the Handy might overpower the cigar but they complimented each fine, IMO. I cut the Handy to ~110/115 proof, as it seems to lose some flavor if it's cut more, again IMO, I just take smaller sips :) . I usually like my bourbon ~ 100 proof, +/- 5%.

I just finished a steroid pac which my doctor prescribed for extreme back pain, and the pac didn't mix with alcohol (i had to find out the hard way). So, tonight's pairing will have to be special, since I have not had any bourbon since last Saturday. I am thinking a Padron Anniversary with Four Roses Single Barrel. I might switch cigars, but the Four Roses is etched in stone.
