I stopped by the tobacco shop to get some pipe tobacco the other day and they had some pouches in a bargin bin. Always looking for a bargin and liking a good dark tobacco every now and then I picked up some Kremer's Aged Cavendish. It is a deep black tobacco with an aroma of chocolate and spicy liquorice in the pouch.

I went home and lit up a pipe full and pared it with a bourbon. The tobacco smoke was a lightly sweet toffe flavor with just a hint of the liquorice spice. I pared this with Old Grand Dad Bottled in Bond because I wanted something a bit more flavorfull. The Old Grand Dad has a nice citrus/orange fruitiness with a little sweet clove and cinnamon spice that went well with the tobacco. A very good pairing for a relaxing smoke after dinner.
