About 4 weeks ago I went to see an old Friend 90 yrs old that worked at Kinsey for 43 yrs. He gave me a full Pint of Kinsey Silver Whiskey. I have since opened it and found it to be a very Nice blended, better then any of the newer Blends out there. It had body flavor and a great feel in the mouth. It also went down very easy. I am going to revisit it soon and will give more thought on it. Just having got it having worked at Kinsey was great but to find it such a nice drink made it so much better yet. I told my old Friend Ludy and He said I knew you would like it as that was one of my favorites! I had never had Kinsey Blended Silver or Gold so I finnally after 35 yrs did! A blended favorite of mine from Continental was Philadelphia Blended which thanks to a friend "Joe" I have a bottle of and I have been enjoying it alot, in fact had a shot last night, it was one of Continentals best Blends!

How did the Kinsey Silver compare to the Phili Blend? Were they similar?

How much grain alcohol did they use in their blends?

Kinsey Silver was 35% straight and 65% spirits blend. It was 80 proof. Kinsey Gold looking at an old Empty Bottle I have is a blend of 20% striaght Whiskey and 80 % 8 yr old Whiskeys, that is what it says on the bottle, it is 86.6 proof!
Never had it but it was supposed to be the better of the two!
