Nose:An overwhelming first sniff after letting it sit in the glass for 5 minutes or so: sweet banana, cinnamon, strong vanilla.
Taste:Surprisingly smooth banana and rose. Second sip lent more vanilla and cinnamon/nutmeg. So many tastes one after the other, with a pleasant warmth going down.
Finish:The most amazing thing about the finish is how gradually its effect shifts from dominating the taste buds to a pleasant vanilla shadow of its former self. I'm typing this two minutes after my last sip, and still am savoring the last wisps.
Overall:Quickly becoming my favorite.

Info on this bottle:14 YO
Nose:Leather, nuts, oak, vanilla, allspice, ripe peaches, maple syrup. Quite nice y'all..........good and bourbony.
Taste:Creamy entry that is sweetly corny/maple syrupy rich but is quickly moderated by the oaky dryness.........but never does it give over completely. Cinnamon and pepper spice mix with the oak and sweet and strike up a lively tune that is well received by this oldster.
Finish:Moderately long, dry, and interesting.
Overall:Better than good, but short of first rate...........Mommas, don't let yo babies grow up to be cowboys

Taste:Vanilla, Oak, Chocolate. Real smooth. i really like this bourbon.
Finish:This bourbon does not fires up your tonque but has a very pleasant taste which sadly does not last very long.
Overall:I really like this bourbon. It is smooth on the tongue and mouth has a very pleasant taste afterwards.
I had this bourbon after dinner as a dessert with some 'chocolate truffels'....... Supreme

Nose:Sweet vanilla, caramel, and honey... with a hint of pine nuts. This has a great nose...

Taste:Honey, oak, vanilla and nuts... there is even a milk chocolate like property in this....
Finish:oak then great sweet. with a mod burn... there is a touch of smoke, just enough to tell you it is there along with a little leather.

It has a good long finish over a 60 seconds that ends with a hit of oak...
Overall:I like this..... I will get a bottle of this when I get a chance. It drinks like a 85-90 proof bourbon. The sweetness is balanced well with many other flavors.

Nose:This 14 YO bourbon has a woody nose that also has some vanilla, some citrus, and a touch of caramel and rye. It promises an interesting, but quite dry bourbon........let's take this to this next level.
Taste:A sweet upfront attack that gives way to some mild pepper and spice that is just t'other side of warm. The oak is an ever present player who is not unwelcome by this drinker. Not a rich bourbon as I happen to favor.........but still quite respectable.
Finish:As expected, a quite dry finish that is not especially lingering.
Overall:In my opinion, this particular Rowan's Creek is not the best I have had. It is a good bourbon, but a bit too long in the wood. The 14 years have not been rewarded with a delicacy, as happens in the best of aging circumstances, but with a decided dryness that hobbles the complexity. Win some, lose some. If I replaced what I drank from this bottle with some G T STAGG, would they give me back my money? Hmmm, guess I could use a bit of Stagg to bring this fellow to heel?

Nose:A very prominent nose that immediately says there's alot going on here. Vanilla and sugar crusted pecans with honeysuckle nectar, pears, caramel and spices.
Taste:A small sip, moved it around, breathed in deep through the nose and exhaled slowly through the nose closing the palate. I put the glass down, looked up, wide eyed, staring at my wife and said " peanut shells!". I love peanut shells and recognized this immediately. The nose is fairly accurate in reflecting the rich, thick flavor profile, but it didn't tell me about those shells.
Finish:The excellent and unique flavor of peanut shells lasts thoroughout the mid-palate where it ends rather abruptly. To tell you the truth, I had and still do have difficulty paying attention to the rest of the flavor profile at entry, however, this is not a bad thing. Vanilla and lucsious pears (a hybrid) melding caramelly wood and soft charry spices envelope the mid-palate to the end with only a mild burn holding the flavors together 'til they fade away.
Overall:CURRENT FAVORITE! I went straight to McScrooges and bought another bottle(07-61) afraid the next batch won't hold the same highly unique qualities. I would have paid 200.00 for the uniqueness alone. I hope these two bottles last until my death. For once-a-year only use, they have gone to the back of my top-shelf collection where they are safe. I have one thing to say to Kentucky Bourbon Distillers...Do it again!!!!!!!!

Nose:Strong sweet scent of vanilla, caramel, and flower nectar. I sometimes pass the liquor cabinet and just smell the bottle; what a fantastic aroma!
Taste:Sweet caramel, cinnamon, and a little bit of oak and charcoal. Very mild burn. Absolutely delectable!
Finish:Smooth, moderately long finish and again mild burn that gives way to the fantastic flavor of caramel then oak.
Overall:I have two favorite bourbons: Baker's and Rowan's Creek. It just depends on my day as to which I choose. Sometimes I want a more full bodied bourbon that smacks me with strong flavor and a little more burn. That's the Baker's. Some days I want to relax and enjoy a sweet smooth bourbon with a beautiful softer finish. That's when I pour a Rowen's Creek.

Nose:A bit of oak on first nosing. As it opens up one gets a pleasing whiff of fruit (both citrus and dark dried fruit) and flowers. Next comes some vanilla, brown sugar, and corn. A rich and sweet nose that is very rewarding in its own right.
Taste:The taste follows the nose closely with fruit and corn sweetness and honeysuckle flower nectar. A bit of spice and pepper break out in the middle of the mouth. A creamy viscousness carries the whole lot down the throat.
Finish:The finish is moderately long with little alcohol presence. The viscosity ensures that your mouth has some flavors for a while.
Overall:This 12 YO bourbon has replaced its older sibling, Noah's Mill, as my favorite from Kentucky Bourbon Distillers. It is an excellent bourbon in my judgement, both for new bourbon drinkers and for old hands. It is quite rich, smooth, and flavorful.

Nose:Dark fruits - apricots and cherries, with caramel toffee and a hint of mint.
Taste:Sweet and fruity with caramel and mint spice. Very nice mouth feel with only a little warmth and no alcohol burn.
Finish:Starts sweet and fruity but slowly transforms into a dry oak wood.
Overall:Nice neat with a meal.

Nose:Light nose with amber fragrance of vanilla, caramel, flowers, very pleasant. It's seems to be more than that but hard to tell as it's both easy and complex at the same time which I find rare.
Taste:Tones of oak throughout, some vanilla, sweet but not over the top, very long and smooth. In the neighborhood of Maker's Mark but with it's own taste.
Finish:Not much lingering around with the finish--not a bad thing as you'll be drinking it for awhile--it's that good!
Overall:Top 5 for sure. I'll be downing it's cousin, Noah's Mill next. This is one fine bourbon, not an everyday sort of brand but more for special friends or occasions. Perhaps when one wants to be alone or savor a special day or memory break out a glass neat or on the rocks. It's the kind of stuff you drink on your anniversary or after you made your first hole in one. This dog will hunt.

Nose:The fruitiest nose I can recall in a bourbon, with orange perdominating. A wiff of nuts and warm clover emerge, enlarging the complexity. A skosh of banana, contrasting with the rye, gives one pause....... all the while the corn sweetness and spices lurk at the edges. A very pleasing nose whose main elements are in balance.
Taste:A rich viscous mouthfeel that slides across your mouth's plate, giving you a run and keeping you in the game. The complexity in the taste mirrors that of the nose. A corn sweetness gives way to spices as the mouth is pleasured.
Finish:A very nice finish with everything given its say. Nothing is discordant here and the alcohol burn holds off until the end to remind you that this is a 100 proof bourbon that you are enjoying.
Overall:I don't know what I was expecting, I came to this one with no pre-conceptions and was most pleasantly surprised. An excellent product by my lights!

Nose:[Olfactory impressions]Two fingers in a fluted bourbon glass. Great leggs and a miriad of aromas and sensations. As I changed the tilt of the glass, new smells and tingles. Old smells from my Grandfathers work bench, his old model-T, Vermont maple sugar candy, orange slice. Burned the inside of my nose, but I went back for more and more. Some very old and reflective, nostalgic images wafting olfaction.
Taste:[Description of the initial taste impression] Modest burn in good measure. Old candy, less complex than the aroma. Should have poured 4 fingers to get a better taste feel. Did not linger but very fine "passing through". Left me wanting more. Alot goes a little way!
Finish:[Description of the lingering taste impression] Modest bite, short life but full of flavor. Dissipates like cotton candy; there one second, gone the next. I'd have to drink a whole bottle to make sure I had an understanding of the taste....OK, I'll do it!
Overall:[Overall impression of this bottling] Wonderful smells, each new one different from the last. Very enjoyable aroma. Clear shinny beef broth look with fat legs. The taste was less than that but not likely to live up to the "WayBack machine" aroma. If the smell were not so over the top, I'm sure I would have enjoyed the taste more. A good bourbon, better than many. Somewhere within my top 15.

Nose:Good god, this smells sweet. A nice sorta sweet smell, reminiscent of caramel, but somewhat oaky.
Taste:Complex flavor wrapped in oak, caramel, and orange. This is nice, complex but not overbearing. The oak is very apparent in this one.
Finish:There is a very lively finish here. It's smooth but the vapor's there. Very little burn, but not weak. I'm having a hard time describing this one. It's just real oaky. There's no funky aftertaste.
Overall:I would whole heartedly endorse this product. Kentucky Bourbon Distillers has some damn fine products and this one is great. Okay now...now I feel it in my belly. Warm and cozy. This bottle my fine ladies and gents is a beaute (is that a word?. This bottle is too easy to drink, in the senes of quality. Have 2 of these and switch to a table bourbon. Jesus this is a good'n!!!
