Review from bourbonv (BourbonEnthusiast Review ID 2302, Created:20140909114338)
Purchased at:Gift from distillery
Nose:Sweet Caramel and vanilla - creme brulle and pecans. Very sweet on the nose but not overly complex.
Taste:Sweet vanilla and carmel with a hint of nuts - pecans and hazelnut and a little pepper spice. A bit hot on the mouth with a lot of alcohol burn to start. a drop of water or maybe an ice cube will help. Not overly complex on the taste but very pleasant once you get past the alcohol.
Finish:Starts sweet but dries out with some oak tannins and pepper spice. It last a long time and has some scotch-like qualities to the finish that I suspect come from the whaeat.
Overall:A very good bottling of a wheat whiskey. It says that it was aged on the top floors of warehouse "Y" and bottled without chill filtering.
