Bourbon Reviews:
| Bottling Name | Wild Turkey Liqueur | | Bottled By | Austin Nichols Distilling Co. Lawrenceburg,KY | | Type | Liquer | | Alcohol content | 60 Proof | | Availability | US: Available Japan: Not Available Duty Free: Not Available Europe: Not Available | | Views (since 20080612) | 9520 | | Bottling Info | <From their website> The only bourbon-based liqueur on the market, Wild Turkey liqueur brings out the best flavors of our premium bourbon, but with real honey to give it a sweetness that's hard to resist. The palate is a bit like syrup and glides around the mouth with obvious notes of vanilla and citrus.
Perfectly suited for after-dinner consumption, it rounds-out Wild Turkey’s portfolio of exceptional products. Wild Turkey Liqueur also marries well with Wild Turkey Bourbon to make a Kentucky-style "Golden Nail." It also goes well with vanilla ice cream, pecan pie, or as an ingredient in a butterscotch sauce.

Review from BuffaloBill (BourbonEnthusiast Review ID 1394, Created:20081220103227) | Purchased at: | Falmouth, MA | | Purchased for: | $1 = 50ml | | Info on this bottle: | Wild Turkey American Honey | | Nose: | Sweet. | | Taste: | Sweeter. | | Finish: | Sweetest. | | Overall: | It's a cordial, not a bourbon. If you like Drambuie this may actually appeal to you. A very smooth, yet sweet - for dessert. Maybe pour it over ice cream? Get creative... BB |

Review from spun_cookie (BourbonEnthusiast Review ID 989, Created:20080114205812) | Purchased at: | ebay | | Purchased for: | $6.00 | | Proof Of this Bottle: | 60 | | Nose: | Rich, very rich
Almost has a wine smell to it (honey wine)
A little like medicine | | Taste: | Like old cough syrup
The taste the honey is off
strong taster, stronger than mist bourbons - but not in a good way
This is not very good...
| | Finish: | 0-15 seconds is like medicine
15-30 it mellows, but still strong
30-45 this has faded to light honey and ... pez candy?
45-60 seconds there is a bad taste left in my mouth... | | Overall: | Well, I knew it was not bourbon, so .... I would not get this again... The American honey is definitely an improvement |

Review from spun_cookie (BourbonEnthusiast Review ID 988, Created:20080114205537) | Purchased at: | Frys, Tucson arizna | | Purchased for: | Free :o) | | Info on this bottle: | This is the Wild Turkey American Honey | | Proof Of this Bottle: | 71 | | Nose: | Light honey, little bourbon (WT 80 proof?)
Little medicine smell, but not as strong as the the WT Liqueur
cloves, mint, and something else...
| | Taste: | Light taste, honey and bourbon..
little light alcohol | | Finish: | 0-15 seconds has a little honey, oranges and root beer
15-30 seconds it fades quick but the honey is still prominent
30-45 seconds same as the 15-30... sort of hit a a plateau
45-60 seconds fades to light honey, and dissipates | | Overall: | Better of the two. Definitely not a regular drinker... almost like a light Madeira with honey... probably good with a honey cigar

Review from bpeikes (BourbonEnthusiast Review ID 536, Created:20060713104447) | Purchased at: | | | Nose: | Smells like a honey pot. | | Taste: | Cloyingly sweet. Has a bit of a honey flavor, but takes mostly like a sugar syrup. A little bourbon flavor is in there somewhere. | | Finish: | [Description of the lingering taste impression] | | Overall: | I wouldn't drink this product straight but it has it's place. Perfect in hot tea when you're feeling under. I've used this to top desserts and in an occasional cocktail as well. |
